use | corn steep liquor is a substitute for peptone in various microbial production methods, including fed-batch production of recombinant protein of Escherichia coli, high-density culture of Saccharomyces cerevisiae (S. cerevisiae), and cheap substitutes for fermentation production of lactic acid are very useful. Corn steep liquor can also be used as a nitrogen source under several media and cell culture conditions. This can produce biological substances, which are rich in protein and less acidic polysaccharides. |
